A Time Mystery - Part 4

As they went down the stairs they saw Robert. The girls froze. Robert whispered, "Who is that?" pointing to Rachel. "Never mind her, we will talk about this later", said Tiffany, who was already walking past Robert shouting, "coming mom!"

When Mrs. Smiithsonian saw Rachel, her smile turned to a frown. She said, "Well, well, if it isn't Sarah Hiffenbaucker."

"Uhhhhhh, my name isn't Sarah," said Rachel in a shaky voice. "Tiffany, WAIT!" but it was to late. Tiffany had gone to the attic, shut the door, and locked it.

A Small Island

One non-rainy day, near North Carolina, in the District of Columbia, also around West Virginia. Well, actually, they don't live there. It is pretty much impossible. They really live under the "A" in Atlantic in a dining room. Yes, I said a dining room. Hey, they live on a very small island! So on to personal information. They have six girls. They all like science fiction! They get a lot of science fiction in their parcel post. Their dad owns a real estate selling company called "Your New House". They have gone missing for the last ten billion years and nobody's seen them since.

The End.

*spelling story, using words: North Carolina, District of Columbia, West Virginia, dining room, science fiction, parcel post, real estate.

A Time Mystery Part 3

continuing on from Part 2...

Tiffany Gasped, "You see, you have found my magical time machine? duh, duh, don? How did you find out it was me who had it?

"Because I am from the future." Abe rips off his mask and is now a girl.

Tiffany asks, "Who are you? What is your name?"

"My name is Rachel. What is your name? Wait a second..."

They look at each other and shouted their last name "SMITHSONIAN! WE ARE SISTERS!"

"But can I point out one problem?" Said Tiffany "HOW CAN WE GET HOME!?" with her arms in the air.

Rachel said, "Shall we set in the carriage?"

Tiffany said, "Um Rachel, I think you should change into something else" pointing to the abe costume she was still wearing.

"I can fix that!" Rachel made a 1 second sign and went inside, came out, prepared to say "I am ready" but right at that moment, Rachel's broach and Tiffany's necklace started to sparkle!

Then Tiffany said, "When I was in the basement I noticed the time machine's key sparkling. But when I picked it up it stopped."

They looked at each other as if they both knew what to do next. Rachel said "Ready?". Tiffany said, "Ready!" They pushed on the jewels they were wearing and "POOF!" they were in the basement.

Off in the distance they heard their mom calling, "Tiffany, Robert! Lunch is ready!"

"Who is Robert?" Rachel said.

"You will see." Said Tiffany. "Come on!"

Music of Freedom

Here is a poem I've been working on for a Homeschool Poetry Competition. The theme was freedom.

Music of Freedom

When I dance, when I sing, Oh how I feel free!
I hear the song of freedom raining down on me.

I hear the music of the street, light posts blinking, now and then.
People walking slowly by my house again
All seems to keep, the rhythm of the beat,
as I dance and as I sing.

Country horses run and move.
To my song with their beating hooves.
Makes me want to dance & sing
In the grass that is green, green, green.

Dancing in the country,
or singing in the city,
I always feel free.

Indians, Germans, Chicago, Oh My!

Taylor had to write a short story using her spelling words:
Wednesday, February, Indians, arctic, Chicago and Germans

Here's what she came up with!

One Wednesday, on a blistery day of February, a girl was walking deep, deep, down inside of the Arctic. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Indians popped out! The girl, whose name was Rachel, asked, "Where did you come from?"
The chief said, "We come from Chicago!".
Luckily Rachel studied Indians in school! She held up her right hand for the peace sign. When all of a sudden Germans popped out of the Indian suits! Rachel chatted with the Germans, for she also studied German in school. She then offered to to fly them back home in her airplane.

A Time Mystery Part 2

As Tiffany walked to the basement, she looked around not knowing what she'd find. She felt around in her pocket and she found a flashlight! She shined it around and froze. It was amazing! It looked just like the clock she had found downstairs! But just the moment she finds the clock she saw a sparkle off to the side! And there lay a key! She picked it up and tried to open up the clock and guess what!? It worked! She peeked inside and something magical happened! She was not in the basement anymore! (duh, duh, duh, don)

As she looked around her new world she saw a carriage heading towards her! As she looked harder she realized that Abe Lincoln was driving the carriage!! "Hey", said Abe. "Get out of the street!" Tiffany did not know what to do! She looked down and saw a penny! And then she yelled, "1894!?!". It was then she realized what year it was. She looked up at Abe and said, "Sorry Sir", she took a bow, "I did not see you".
Abe said, "How could you not see the President of the United States?"
"Oh, I um... you see, um."
"Go on", said Abe.
"You see I found a clock that I had never seen before and when I peeked inside I was not in the basement anymore!"
"Well", said Abe, "I've been waiting for you!"

duh,duh,duh,don.

A Time Mystery Part 1

One rainy day in London, a girl named Tiffany was playing in her house when she saw a clock that she had never seen before. When she took a closer look she saw a piece of paper inside. She also saw something written on it but couldn't figure out what it said. She tried opening the latch with her hands but couldn't get it open. Then, a sudden idea came to her! There must be a key!! So she looked an looked until she came to her last spot. Behind the clock. She pushed and pushed until her hand finally she felt something. She pulled it out and guess what? It was a key! She put the key in the lock and grabbed the note. She opened it and read

" Look in the basement, it will help you a lot. Check out the clue to see what you've got!"

Tiffany thought about this. What will happen? Should she go? Is this some kind of trick? But as any brave girl would do she walked slowly down to the basement.
